BloomsburyOne of the Directors of Marble, Kye Burchmore was recently asked by Bloomsbury Publishing to update the “Agency workers and intermediaries” Chapter in the Tax Planning 2017/18 book which aims to provide new planning strategies and opportunities for practitioners and their clients.

The book is available to purchase from 1 November 2017 via Bloomsbury’s website: https://www.bloomsburyprofessional.com/uk/tax-planning-201718-9781526501660/

On their website Bloomsbury note that the book is written by some of the UK’s leading tax specialists and experienced authors and the book clearly and concisely explains key tax planning ideas and concepts. It has a broad coverage on topical areas of tax.

The chapter on agency workers and intermediaries provides a detailed insight into how and why agencies can pay individuals in different ways and the legal considerations that should be taken into account. It should provide a useful read for any companies operating as an agency or for their advisers.

The owners of Marble Contracting have considerable experience in reviewing how agencies and intermediaries operate, providing all the advice and support they need to remain compliant in relation to employment status and IR35 and have defended many companies that have been challenged by HMRC under the agency legislation.
